Niche Portal Builder
After a not so slight delay and a nice vacation, I’m back at searching the net for content generators and automated page generators. What I have to tell you is that there are more than you can imagine.
I remember about a month ago I came across Niche Portal Builder. I liked the sales copy until I saw the price. Well, it’s $750 bucks. You can buy the directory generator for $400 and the reciprocal mailer for $350 separately too.
If you are going to buy it skip the link mailer. You’ll probably won’t get much links anyway. The important issue though is you will be mailing lots of non-automatically generated sites and letting them know that your site exists. If you read around the big webmaster fora you will see that lots of people really go out of their way to fight these kind of sites. I bet your adsense account won’t last long.
The directory generator doesn’t cut it either in my opinion. There are cheaper alternatives that do the same thing and probably do it better. I haven’t seen anyone saying good things about it either. Here is a quote from the Traffic Equalizer forum:

As mentioned on point 2, if you use a big keyword list (1000-5000 keywords) you will end up with a site that has thousands of links on each and every page and we know that search engine don’t like that. Maybe that’s why that site got banned in three days.
My final verdict is that it is too expensive and doesn’t do anything better than other tools. Sure you might be able to use it with success if you optimize its templates a lot and make small sites but you will be better off with something else.

Thanks for posting this. What a great perspective, I think I’ll stick with TE. I’ve been looking for new posts (I check all the time), but glad you had a great vacation!

[...] like this one. It’s too expensive plus I have only seen bad reviews for it. Read my Niche Portal Builder Review Ranking Power Haven’t heard much about Ranking Power. [...]

For me TE was so “raw” out of the box that I gave up on it and went with NPB. I’ve been able to customize it and the developer has provided users with a feature to get around the “2000 link” problem.

Why don’t you just copy the entire contents of the TE forum over here for everyone to read?

This is the only time I have quoted something from the forum (except a couple other where I’m quoting myself). Why do you say that rob?
Compiling select threads from the TE forum would be nice but I’m not gonna do that unless the forum goes public.

“Why do you say that rob?” because the person who’s review you plaguarized on there is leaping mad after finding out your populating your blog with copy from other websites.
The forum really is a load of crap – how can you comment on software you havent used / don’t own?

Have you actually used any of these programs you review?… or do you just post what other people have to say about the programs? Just curious…

Strange i dont have a customer by the name of “Eli Der” ( which is from your whois records)
So i guess your “review” is based on comments scraped from other forums??

I never claimed I own Niche Portal Builder. My review is based on discussion of NPB with other people and what is revealed on the sales letter.
I could do a better review if you want to grant me access to NPB for 1-2 days.
