SEC - Search Engine Cloaker
Search Engine Cloaker is a pretty good cloaking tool. I have seen it being used with great success and the creators claim that they only know two cases of sites being deindexed after using it. I don’t know if that’s totally true but I haven’t seen any complaints of de-indexing in their forum.
It uses an IP database to correctly detect search engine bots, just like other more expensive cloaking tools. What I like about it is it’s templates system, here is a quote from their site demonstrating an example:
Template 1: [greeting]! Cloaker is [adverb] [adjective], allowing [person] to [benefit].
When Cloaker “reads” [adverb] it will randomly select a word from this list. And, of course, you can completely control all of the words in this list. You can even make your own lists of words — for instance, you might have a list called [addresses] which returns a random address, [mortgage_terms] which will return a real estate word, and so on.
This template system is quite flexible. Search Engine Cloakercan be installed on both Unix/Linux and Windows servers as well as some free hosts and it creates the cloaked pages dynamically so it doesn’t eat up much space on your host. These are the features that I found worth mentioning for SEC. If you ask me SEC offers a better bang-for-your-buck ratio than most other cloaking utilities and might be a good entry point to the world of cloaking for newbies.
