rants from the dark side of marketing

Yahoo indexing faster lately

Yahoo was doing updates ( and is still doing) in their algorithms, so most of June and July we enjoyed the pleasure of not getting indexed very much. The last 10 days or so I got a lot of sites 50% indexed or more without doing anything different, so it seems it’s back to it’s normal behaviour for now.

I have been reading reports of other people with similar results with me in various fora, so it’s not just me. We don’t know how long it will last, so now build as much as you can and forget everything else.

Another highlight is that a lot of automatically generated sites are ranking exceptionally good on Yahoo lately. Of course these brought an uproar on webmasterworld and all the whiners there. Just hope they don’t stumble on one of your sites and start trying to get your adsense account banned, although it seems like a slime chance to me, some of those guys really go out of their way to ensure we can’t make more money with adsense than them.
