Yahoo’s new feature: Mindset

Yahoo just launched it’s new feature for searching, it’s called Mindset. From their FAQ:

# What does this Mindset demo do?
It allows you to sort search results for your query into commercial or non-commercial (informational) results, based on whether you’re shopping or seeking information.

So you search for something and move the slider to choose how much you are interested in commercial results or informational results. They still display overture ads even if you slide it all the way to the right though.

I think it’s quite a nice idea and I hope to see it more widely implemented in the feature. It will sure save us all some time while searching…
