Domain Dashboard

Introducing Domain Dashboard, multiple WHM/CPanel account manager, mass account creator and indexing tracker. The only place you are going to have to login all day.

(Note: Jared will give out 2 free copies of Domain Dashboard to commentors on this post, so leave any suggestions or comments you have, using a valid e-mail adress if you are interested)

Here is what the creator of Domain Dashboard had to say about it:

This product is born from my own frustration of managing my internet empire. After I reached a point where I was able to build hundreds of new domains a week, I began to get overwhelmed with trying to keep up with them all. And this is not how I like to run my business.

So I began to ask myself what are the most time consuming task I am doing on a repeated basis? It was always checking my stats. Seeing how much traffic I was getting, how many pages were indexed and seeing if and when the spiders would visit. As I am sure you can relate this was a big pain in the ass.

But this wasn’t the only task I dreaded. Setting up my domain account in WHM was like finger nails on a chalkboard. Plus not to mention keeping all my login data organized and easily accessible.

So this is how Domain Dashboard came about. I am releasing it at the low price of only $49 because I think everyone needs to have access to this tool, and if you act within the first week I will give you a free upgrade to the PRO Version once I release it in the coming months. This is a got to have tool for anyone serious about their internet empire.

I’m sure the lot of you that use dozens of WHM accounts, will relate to the above. I tried Domain Dashboard before a few days myself and found it to be a very handy application. Currently, it only supports the WHM panel but when I was talking with Jared he mentioned that support for Webmin and Plesk may be added in the future.

Here are some screenshots

and some videos.

Dashboard, Mass Account Creation, Statistics

I like how you can pull stats from all your domains, since it’s quite time-demanding to login on each domain. You can also see how the spiders/crawlers are doing, although you can only view one domain at a time now. Jared said thathe was working on more statistics features.

Domain Dashboard will also fetch the indexed pages in G/Y/M for all your domains and uses the engines’ APIs so that it doesn’t break when they change their layout. My test on 23 domains took about around a minute (I was using around 80% of my bandwidth at the time), so I’d say it’s pretty fast. Overall, I’d say it’s a very good product.

Don’t forget, if you leave a suggestion/comment below you can win a free copy of this software.

Looks great. I take it that it’s a Windows app? Any idea if it runs under WINE for us Linux users?

Peter Says:

This piece of software is a GODSEND! Why didn\’t somebody think of it earlier? I find myself checking the stats of individual domains everyday. This especially sucks if you\’re using reseller hosting.

P.S. I am interested in a free copy :)

Joe Says:

Feature request:

mass subdomain creation = past list of subdomain names, click button, subs are generated.

Eric Says:

Nice looking app. Does it have internal proxy support?

And, a 2nd vote for subs.

A free copy would be great!

countzero Says:

It does have proxy support yes. Creating subdomains and folders will probably be included in an upcoming version.

(btw, Jared will choose two commentors tommorow)

Jason Bailey Says:

Sounds fantastic. I manage a network of a thousand or so domains which collectively get over a million type ins a months. Keeping track of which domains are indexed/banned, how deeply they are indexed, which subs are and aren’t working is a major pain in the arse.

If you want to put the software through the paces on a large high profile network and get some good feedback as a result… PICK ME!!

Here are some of the domains we manage

I had a friend ask me a few weeks ago about whether something like this existed. I’ll make sure to point him here. I spend too much time going over stats so I could definitely use it myself as well. Nice.

Kit Says:

Oh praise the heavans! This software looks set to be the solution to en masse network WHM domains and make the irritable process of setting up new sites in WHM less… painful.

WHM users like myself need a solution like this, and need it now.

Best of luck with the development, it is set to be a killer app.

Steve Says:

Hi,
looks exactly like what the doctor ordered :)
But two questions.
a) does it import Reseller Zoom accounts OK? Or any host using phphsuexec for that matter.
b)does it \”phone home\”? If so, what data is it sending?
cheers

countzero Says:

My screenshots were made using a resellerzoom account, so that’s a yes.

There is no phoning home to my knowledge but you could check yourself by watching your network traffic when running it.

I knew this kid Jared was doing a right (business wise) thing. His opt-in list, whether registerfly sales, or great pieces of software, just keeps chugging along.

Smart guy! And there is nothing I respect more than intelligence!

smpdev Says:

Great Program !!!

I have four suggestions:

1) Number domains - so we can tell if all have been added, this is important when you have thousands of domains. I have a master list per host that is numbered if I compare the number of domains per host with a quick glance at total domains in your program it would them be easy to see if all have been imported. Right now I am not sure how many are loaded into your program.

2) Cpanel login - Can you please add an option for Cpanel login for those small hosting accounts we have that don’t have WHM

3) Massive account creation - I own a lot of 3 and 4 letter domains, if you select “use domain name” it puts a period in the username which isn’t allowed. possible solutions might be don’t allow characters (such as periods) that Cpanel doesn’t allowed or allow us to edit usernames before generation.

4) One major upgrade needed is back links - this is obviously a major stat we all look at for our business.

Hi Jared

Great piece of software. I was using an assortment of tools to accomplish what Domain Dashboard does.

I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere in the comments yet, but for those of us who manages hundreds (and possibly thousands) of domains, is there any plan for proxy server support? I’m just concerned that checking indexed pages for the number of domains might caused SEs to pay attention to our IP addresses.

DaveNL Says:

Looks like a great tool, does it works with all cpanel account or is it just for dedicated and VPS accounts ?

Dave

countzero Says:

>>is there any plan for proxy server support?

Yes there is. I suggest you run tor/privoxy if you have a big number of domains.

>>Looks like a great tool, does it works with all cpanel account or is it just for dedicated and VPS accounts ?

Currently, it requires WHM/Cpanel combo. I’m sure single cpanel accounts will be included in the next version and as I mentioned there might also be support for Webmin and/or Plesk in the future.

Phil G Says:

Looks like a very convenient method of check the health of one’s network of adsense sites.

The suggestion regarding the use of a proxy really makes sense.

Homebrew Says:

I currently use a program called httPulse. You have to enter each site, and now with mass production, I find I have too many other things more important to do. Importing from WHM would be nice and would tend to get done.

DennisGerik Says:

Jared,

This looks like a great piece of software!!!

A suggestion that I see is in the mass account creation… in the \’Use Domain Name\’ option…

The \’numbering\’ option should also apply to this option… meaning that if the first X chars are current used, then it appends a sequential number to each username created.

Also, in the \’package selection\’, it would be great if it could \’look into the WHM account\’ and auto-import the packages. However, this is probably only relevant, if you are using LOTS of different packages… :-)

In the actual account creation, it would be great to be able to right-click on the domain/account username and/or password and assign a new one, right from this screen, if desired…

In the account creation report, it really is not necessary to include the phrase \”Domain Created Successfully\” after each domain, as it can be stated once at the beginning of the section :-)

In the statistics section, it would be great to be able to click on the column title to sort ascending/descending each column. And for it to remember the previous column sort and allow subsequent columns to be clicked to allow \’compound sorts\’

Hope this is helpful

Software apps come and go but once in a while one comes up that I find revolutionary. Domain Dashboard is, in my opinion, one of the revolutionary ones. A definite time-saver. More so once the suggested upgrades/improvements have been added.

I’m not sure if it has been suggested yet but how about an option to create a file(s) that can be used by the popular FTP clients to import FTP data, i.e. Filezilla imports from an xml file, others use txt files, etc.

Thanks.

optimus Says:

Fantastic bit of Kit, will definately be a time saver.

Question: If you choose for the username on account creation to be first 8 characters does it ignore dots? If not then does this not mess up the mySQL database creation?

billtoom Says:

As a newbie who must basically learn everything from scratch, I have a tendency to become a “tool fool” thinking I will find a shortcut situation to help improve the time and learning curve. Is using a product like this which obviiously is an asset really a hinderance to learning if you are new, or if you have to learn something new, might as well drive a “power toy” than ride a tricycle? Any thoughts would be helpful, I’m all for improving effeciveness.

desimo Says:

This looks like something that I could DEFINITELY use; I am currently using a variety of applications in order to accomplish this one task…

dotcom Says:

Sounds very cool and I would love to try it out.

Linda Says:

This sounds like a great piece of software. I currently have thousands of sites and I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time. I’ve long ago stopped having the time to periodically check the traffic stats and indexing of all those sites - It would take a week or more just to do.

And I love the fact that you’ve added a bulk domain creator into it as well. That will save me hours of time every week.

Some additional suggestions that I have:

1-Make it so that it tracks the traffic and indexing of subdomains as well as root domains. I’ve got tons of sites on subdomains, and this would be very useful to many people.

2-Make it so that it will create subdomains through cpanel in bulk. Doing it manually is a very slow process.

3-Add a scheduling feature so that it could go out and grab reports and save them for you at intervals you specify.

covertseo Says:

Excellent one of those “why did not someone think of that before” ideas!

I operate a major hosting service just for Internet marketers running mostly Internet marketing apps.

Many of my customers have hundreds of sites which they need to login to individually.

I know this product would be very well received by most of them.

As a feature suggestion I would strongly suggest a menu driven CRON job setup. Many people get confused with that particular task.

Thanks!

castana Says:

Great piece of software for mass builders. I have few suggestions for improvments to make it the “all-round” domain manager. Some have already been mentioned like support for subdomains, building of subdomains and stat handling of subdomains also.

I think the idea of setting up a CRON on each install is a great idea also. I was nearly buying another piece of software I saw that did this on the domain install.

The other program also had 1 more trick which would be my favourite to see included with this. The ability to set up an e-mail account with every new domain install! Thisnk how much time this would save.

Also a mass http://FTP. Sometimes we want to add particular files to all our installs. Too late to have them in the skeleton directory when the site is already built. But a mass FTP where all the reuired domains could be selected, the upload folder selected, and it installs this folder to all existing domains.

Now we are talking an awesome piece of software!

castana Says:

Another thing I wanted to mention - is it not possible to grab the cPanel passwords when scanning an existing WHM account? They are all returned with the WHM root pasword which means extra work editing each entry with the correct Cpanel password.

Many thanks for a great piece of kit!

nxn Says:

Hi,

Looks like terrific software!

Here are my suggestions:

1) I\’d like to see tracking by subdomains added.

2) I\’d like to see tracking by stand-alone C-Panel domains (non-WHM domains) so that non-resellers can use the program.

3) Sub-Domain creation on a bulk level (cut and paste or import a txt list) would be fantastic.

4) Down the road, tracking by other non-CPanel account managers, such as DirectAdmin would be nice.

5) I\’d like to see the dashboard able to break out and track spiders from the visitor list (AWStats does not always report every spider visit in the \”bot\” reporting area, but they are listed in \”unverified visitors).

6) Basic charting over user-selectable time periods (by day, by week, by month, by year, etc.) would be great!

7) Export function of popular data (like daily visits) into excel spreadsheet.

8) Down the road, being able to automate setting of nameservers at popular registrars (godaddy, registerfly, 1and1, etc.) straight through to domain creation at the webhost would really rock!

9) Again, down the road, how about a plugin or something for automated creation of popular blog platforms like Wordpress.

Hope that helps!

Duncan Says:

I can understand your fustration and that is why I immediatly bought the product after hearing about it.
I absolutley love it.. It sure makes my life easier and with the pro version on the way,,.no one should be without it now.

Highly recommended..

Jared Says:

Hello Everyone. Thanks for the kind remarks.

PRO Version will address just about everything that has been mentioned for new features.

- Mass FTP allow you to send the same file to multiple domains.

- Automatically setup FTP access. An lite FTP section will be added to the PRO.

- Add-on domain support

- Sub-domain support

- Mass add-on creation and mass sub-domain creation

- Track backlinks and page rank

- Adavanced statistics pulled from Awstats

- Scheduled automatics stats updates. With pop up notifications in the system tray.

- Domain reports for history of stats…. probably in pdf format

- Possibly an Adsense Section. :)

- And much more I am sure..

Let me clear somethings up that I have been asked.

No need to worry about proxies. API’s are used.

Unless you have more that 5,000 domains you will never get a no responce. And the PRO Version will more than likely handle 15,000

There is no phoning home with information. But there is a connection made on startup that allows for the apis to work properly. So nothing sent only received.

I am reviewing everyones comments and I will be giving away the two free copies in a couple of days.

I have thousands of domains I never effectively check stats because it would simply take forever. This will enable me to do so and to move on to the next stage of mass building..catering for more popular searches..hint hint.

Hi Jared,

I just spent nearly $200 dollars on a similar product which doesn\’t have half the functionality of this software…. now here did I save the receipt….

Evan Davis Says:

This looks like a splendid piece of software. The features you currently support in addition to the features you plan to add will make this keenly important as the number of domains I currently own and publish to increase.

I want to add that I\’m very interested to hear that you may be able to add support for Plesk. I also want to echo an earlier request for Reseller Zoom support and other phpsue exec based hosting companies.

By the way, any plans to build into this a blog installer? This might be a bit in left field, but curious just the same.

Best,
Evan Davis

This looks like it will solve MANY of my wish list items! Being a newbie I have been looking for an easy solution for working with WHM’s and even tracking my indexing infor etc!

A definite time-saver!

Thanks for developing it!

mpage Says:

Very good tool indeed to manage the whm account obviously. I have been seeking a solution like this for a while. Very cool.

edwin Says:

great tool. No more going through each and every whm account manually.

No more one by one. We can now do it all under one roof.

The time saved allows me to more sites now!

Winston Says:

Wow, I have been looking for this tool for months, plan to get my programmer write this kind of tool. thanks again saving my butt !!

Vic Says:

I’ve heard nothing but good things about this software so far.

JV619 Says:

As a follow-up to my post above, I would suggest making the app portable. Meaning, make it run as an executable file that will not have to get into a pc’s registry. With this feature, one can just use a USB flash drive and use it in any computer. Since a connection is already made at startup to make the API work properly, a verification can be made at this step to make sure the app is a legit copy.

This will be a welcomed feature by those that are highly mobile, people with full-time jobs that need to occasionally access their whm/cpanel at work, people who use internet cafes when they travel, etc.

Thanks,
JV619

Domain Dashboard has been getting RAVE reviews on one of the private membership forums I belong to. In fact, it’s been said that it is worth at least four times what it costs. This software is fast, delivers on it’s promises and will save you lots of time. That’s time that could be put to better use and increase your productity.

The software support is also exemplary. Questions to the developer are answered promptly. In fact, I’ve never seen such excitement about a new piece of software. It certainly over-delivers on what it promises.

If you’re serious about making money on the internet, this is one product you NEED to own. Buy it.

eskboy Says:

At the moment evrything seems to be design for cpanel. It would great if this software integrates with other panels to make it truely flexible and universal.
