How to buy egold
First of all ou need to signup for an e-gold account. E-gold does not require any ID so e-gold accounts can be sort of ‘anonymous’. Here is the URL: https://e-gold.com
* What is e-gold?
E-gold is a digital currency operated by Gold & Silver Reserve Inc. under e-gold Ltd, which is backed by actual gold. Unlike some other digital currency operators, you cannot buy e-gold from E-gold Ltd directly. You have to go through an exchanger.
* What are exchangers?
Digital currency exchangers will sell you e-gold which you will pay with fiat money. So you’ll send them a bank wire along with your e-gold account number and they’ll fund your account. Here are some reputable ones:
paybygold.com
Cambist.net
Icegold
There are also some fees involved with buying e-gold. Check out to the exchangers to find out how much exactly. This is all you need to get started with using e-gold.

It is so damn complicated to make a deposit into an e-gold account – and expensive as well!! – I saw the info on here for the private opps site and thought it looked great – and wanted to have a punt – so opened an account, then had had to open an e-gold account – then had to open another account to deposit to e-gold – but it is not that simple – you have to do it via western union or wire transfer which costs a fortune and takes days.
Sorry not a rant – this is a brilliant idea and something that could be readily blackhatted I guess but oh my god they do make it complicated.

It looks a bit complicated but after you do it once it;s pretty easy.
I just put in $2000 in PrivateOpps and it took me less than 2 days.
I opened a new egold account. Then I submitted an exchange request at IceGold.com and run to the bank to sent the wire.
Today, I got an e-mail from IceGold that they’d like to verify my exchange by phone. I replied and they called in about 10 minutes. A couple minutes after I proceeded to make a new Opps account and bought ~80 units of the OFFSHORE.II contract.
